Dramatic Works

Copyright law in most jurisdictions allow for the protection of dramatic works – such as plays, shows, etc. The problem with protecting such works is how to record what the copyright applies to and in the US meeting the Deposit Requirement. In general the usual approach is to fix the work in the form of a manuscript of the script or lyrics, a printed copy of the script or lyrics, film, video or audio recordings or in a dance notation system such as Labanotation, Sutton Movement Shorthand, or Benesh Notation.
