A proposed uniform state law from the Uniform Law Commission (the same entity as is responsible for example for the Uniform Commercial Code) which has experienced only limited adoption in just 13 jurisdictions as of December 2023. The most economically significant jurisdictions to have adopted it are Oregon, Illinois, New Jersey and the District of Columbia. The act primarily addresses the confidentiality of mediation and the circumstances where it can be lifted.
