Morals Clause

Clause in a personal service contract that permits an employer to dismiss the employee or contractor if their behavior is such as to bring the employer into disrepute. Morals clauses are common in contracts with celebrity endorsers of goods or services and typically permit termination in the event of criminal acts or activities that are considered socially unacceptable such as violence, drunkenness, drug use, etc.
