Execution Risk

The risk that one party may not deliver on its contractual obligations, either because it finds them uneconomic, or because it lacks the required competences or is otherwise unable to do so. Execution risk is an issue that should be considered in any negotiation and if significant be addressed by for example seeking guarantees and potentially insurance policies.
