Discipline Pricing

Form of predatory pricing where the strongest player in the market cuts prices to an uneconomic level to impose price discipline by other competitors, punish perceived threats to its position, or encourage the formation of a cartel. If discipline pricing is considered ‘predatory‘ it may be illegal under applicable competition law, or if it involves import/export trade may be dumping.
