Click License

A license usually used in Internet downloads or software installation, where users click on a screen-box to indicate their agreement with the terms of or conditions of the license. In-house lawyers are often wary of employees “clicking” on such licenses and it is frequently prohibited without the permission of the IT or legal department. The reason is that the licenses are often not read by the person doing the download or installation and may indeed contain onerous terms and conditions or even be a Tar-Baby License. Such a license is often an End User License Agreement or EULA. See Shrink-Wrap License, Browse Wrap License.
