Hitman’s Contract

A “Hitman’ is slang for a paid assassin. The term ‘Hitman’s Contract’ is sometimes used to explain the limits of a Choice of Law Clause – even if one were to assume a jurisdiction where contracts for murder are legal and enforceable, in existing real jurisdictions a contract to commit a crime like murder is void, unenforceable and indeed criminal. Specifying the jurisdiction where such contracts are legal and enforceable won’t make them legal elsewhere.
