Process

Two meanings:

  1. A method of doing something, or achieving some effect or making something. In the semiconductor industry refers to a specific method for fabricating semiconductor devices on wafers and a given line width – thus a process might be described as the TSMC 90 nm process or the Chartered 0.18 µm process, etc. See Foundry.
  2. The documents used to initiate litigation – that are usually served upon the defendant by means specified in applicable law.  See Hague Convention
