Inevitable Disclosure

A term used in the context of confidential information, i.e., know-how or trade secrets used in manufacturing a product that will inevitably be capable of being determined by examination of the products. The term is also sometimes used when seeking an injunction to prevent an employee leaving to join a competitor, especially when the employee has signed a confidentiality agreement.
