Where two companies expect to be regularly licensing different items of IP for similar purposes and for similar terms, it is common to agree a broad generic license, which does not identify the licensed IP and then license the items using addendum agreements or schedules, which set forth the sui generis terms applying to each item, e.g., price, field of use, etc. Sometimes called an umbrella license.
